A Centennial Firm: Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding A.Ş.

Yıldız Group, who has broke ground in Forestry Products, Fertilizer, Chemistry, Energy Generation, Insurance Brokerage and Port Operating sectors, has been restructured and founded “Yıldızlar Yatırım Holding Anonim Sirketi” in order to provide the companies with acceleration and power in financial, managerial and judicial fields. The Holding Company is operating at the holding company administration building in Kocaeli in order to serve extensively to the companies under its auspices on management, organization and data processing matters.

Administration

The Holding’s management principle is to ensure that all the companies under its umbrella would maintain and develop their management and existence. Nonetheless, the holding itself undertakes to “form principles and supervise on the investment, financing and training matters”.

Organization and Companies

Yıldız Entegre, one of the Yıldızlar Holding Companies, climbed up to 57th order in the list of “The first 500 Largest Companies of Turkey” realized by Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Industry in 2009; and 69th order in the list of “the first 500 Largest Private Companies of Turkey”, carried out by the Journal “Capital”. Furthermore, it also received many awards in several fields.

The companies under the holding’s management manufacture decor coated MDF, Melamine-Coated MDF, Laminate Parquet, Painted Parquet, MDF Profile, MDF Door, Door Panel, Backrest Painted, Urea Formaldehyde Resin, Cover Profile, and Impregnated in the field of Forestry Products.

It manufactures Formaldehyde, Adhesive, Concentrated Acid, Nitric Acid and Diluted Acid in the field of chemistry. With regard to fertilizers, being the group’s another leading sector, the Holding is Turkey’s first and the only urea fertilizer and ammonia producer. Thanks to the Holding’s composed fertilizer investment completed in 2007, 15.15.15 and 20.20 fertilizers are produced in Kocaeli Facilities.

With its second facility in Kütahya, it produces 26% CAN, 33% AN, TAN and PAN Fertilizers. The Holding completed electricity generation investment in order to meet the needs of the companies’ energy and electricity in 2001. The Holding also completed port facilities investment in Kocaeli in order to serve its companies, whose exportation and importation capacity grow, and the third persons, and it has become one of the largest ports of Körfez. Yıldızlar Holding, involved in important projects in Turkey, decided to make investment in the field of forestry products in Russia and Iran in order to be able to have a voice abroad as well. The Holding continues the necessary preparations in order to obtain permissions for investments in both territories and has launched investments in Iran. The Holding is also planning to make investments in Russia and Ukraine.

Data Processing Centerdata processing field, it follows the technology based on customer-focused systems. Every kind of service is given to the companies and customers through the technological utilities established by the Company. SAP ERP Corporate Source Planning, used by the leading corporations of the world, was launched to be used in all the group companies in 2008; accordingly, more efficiency is obtained in the fields such as cost management, production planning and customer pleasure.
