In the general sense: Variolam is the product produced by covering the surfaces of the MDF boards which are rubbed and calibrated (single or double surface) with the decorating papers which are processed with melamine resin, under heat and pressure.
The raw decorated papers are absorbed resin mixed with several chemicals. They are dried and packed in specific sizes (according to the MDF size). MDF and decoration papers are placed in the inlet of the production line of about 100 meters length.
The low paper is laid on the table backwards (the decoration part is outwards) by the automatic and computer-controlled machines without human touch. Then the MDF to be covered is put on. The paper is laid on it. Then it is put into the press, and is put under pressure to a certain extent and for a certain period. The paper is attached to the MDF with the effect of the heat and pressure. In the outlet, the edges are cleared and quality selection is made. Then after the cooling process, it is put to the warehouse, being piled to be shipped.
The Latest Technology in Variolam Production
Yildiz Entegre uses the melamine press which is the latest technology in Variolam production, called “Short Cycle Press.” In this system, the product is manufactured as a result of the pressing of the processed decoration papers under 250 degrees heat.
This is a production technology that is based on automation. The raw materials and the necessary chemicals entering the production line are processed automatically without human touch.
